Summer School

Our Summer School is five fun-filled days of theatre, creativity and making new friends — starting with a room full of ideas and ending with a show created by the children themselves.
From writing stories and creating characters to acting, props, costumes, lighting and sound, they get to explore the whole world of theatre.
They create EVERYTHING
Our Summer School children don't arrive on Monday and get handed a play to learn.
They create it themselves.
Starting with their own ideas, the group develops the story, characters and setting before exploring how they'll bring their new production to life.
Over five days they'll get involved in:
Storytelling • Script Writing • Acting • Character Work • Set & Props • Costumes • Lighting • Sound • Performance
By Friday, those first ideas have become a live performance for friends and family.
It's amazing what children can achieve in just five days when they're given the confidence to create.
From Monday to Friday
Monday
Imagine it
Meet the group, play theatre games and start creating stories, characters and ideas.
Tuesday
Design it
Develop the story and start exploring sets, props, costumes and sound.
Wednesday
Bring it to life
Explore lighting, develop characters and start bringing the performance and backstage elements together.
Thursday
Rehearse it
The show starts taking shape as performers and backstage teams work together.
Friday
Perform it!
Final rehearsals, finishing touches and then it's time to share what they've created with friends and family.
MORE THAN A WEEK OF THEATRE
Summer School isn't only about the show they create.
Children work with others they may never have met before, share ideas, make decisions, solve problems and discover new things they're capable of doing.
Some love performing. Others discover they enjoy writing, designing, making props or working with lighting and sound.
There's a place for different personalities, interests and confidence levels — and no previous theatre experience is needed.
Their show. Their ideas.
At the end of the week, family and friends are invited to see what the children have created.
The showcase isn't ticketed and there's no additional cost for families to attend.
It's not about creating a perfect professional production in five days. It's about celebrating their creativity, teamwork and everything they've achieved together during the week.
Summer School Fee
£110 per child (2026 fee)
For the full five-day Summer School
The fee covers all five days of activities, from creating the first ideas on Monday through to the final friends & family showcase on Friday.
There is no additional ticket cost for family and friends attending the showcase.
Refreshments: Free juice and water
Tuck shop: Available during sessions
